First, we meet you at port for pick-up. Meeting time is 1 hour after cruise docking time(If you booked a private excursion, you can disembark earlier or later. We are there as soon as you ship docks). You will head to the Exit Gate and look for the Roatan For A Reason

Our first stop will be “The View” at Coxen Hole. Here you will have the chance to take photos with a magnificent panoramic view as your backdrop. You will also get some time to browse at the different local souvenir stands. Soon after we are headed to the Dolphins Encounter.

 

Get up close and personal with one of nature’s most amazing creatures in a hands-on close encounter!

 

 

Your Dolphin Encounter begins as you travel across the resort’s lagoon to Bailey’s Key, the private home to a large family of Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins.

At a beach-front cabana, a brief orientation will be given. Then you’ll walk along a white sandy beach to wade waist-deep into the gin-clear waters of the Caribbean, where trained naturalists will give you a personal introduction to a resident dolphin.  The trainer will describe the dolphins’ characteristics, anatomy, and behaviors and will give you the opportunity to touch, kiss, and play with a member of this friendly family of marine mammals.

 

Personal cameras are permitted during your encounter.

 

Professional photos will be available at the gift shop following the encounter.

 

Ages 3-13 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

 

Children under 3 years of age are free of charge and may participate while being held by a paying adult. After all the fun with Dolphins Encounter we headed to –

 

The Chocolate Factory-, where you will receive free samples of the several artisanal chocolate flavors. Then we are headed to West End Village, which is Roatan’s busiest avenue.

Get ready to be blown away by the ocean view at -The Rum Factory-. Here you will find over 50 Rum flavors as well as many Rum Cake options.

Get your camera ready to capture the moment at -The Roatan Sign-. You will also have the chance to try the local food and drinks at the different restaurants along the way. Just tell your guide what you want to do and he will find the best options.

After all the fun, we head back to the ship. We guarantee to have you there with at least 2 hours before ship departure. Roatan For A Reason staff’s main goal is to do their best to guarantee your satisfaction.
